For those that still don’t know about this amazing vehicle:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_RS_6
Ultimate do everything Q-car! Amazing car for all conditions.
The RS6 is the Grand Father of ALL modern V8 turbo AWD cars from BWM, Mercedes, Porsche and others.
Phenomenal build quality inside and out. Modern $100K cars seem a bit cheap inside. Well because global economics are not what they used to be. Especially after the market crash of 2008.
For those that known high end Audi's, it's no surprise. For those that don't, get to know this Halo car - the best of the best. Nothing was left to chance. Both build quality and features.
Factory 8 piston Brembo brakes with 2 piece rotors at all 4 corners. No cost cutting on this car!
The Beast is ready for the road!
Only 106k miles. These Cosworth designed engines easily run 300,000 miles without issue. Gumpert Cars (Roland Gumpert of Group B rally fame) used the same engine in their $1M super sports car with nearly 800hp. It set the lap record at Nurburgring in the early 2000's.
THIS RennSport drives like a new car still- arguably better with the enhancements. I recommend driving a couple other RS6's THEN drive this one. It's THAT good, better than new and taken a couple levels beyond. Unlocking what was already there.
Long list of upgrades and maintenance:
Newer Timing belt (Gates racing) and water pump with all seals and pulleys, ALL parts replaced. Under 7K miles.
All work done by a respected European repair shop and RS6 specialist. EVERY part replaced, even the water pump bolts with OEM from the dealer.
REVO tune @ 525HP / 550-570+TQ. I derated it to 500hp about 10yrs ago. The torque seemed too much as I was used to a B6 S4 V8 and Dinan M3.
It’s faster than you think with the incredible torque, and easily holds with cars having 50-100hp more. Yet purrs at 1100rpm thru town. The useable power is amazing and sounds great as well with the OEM sport exhaust.
Key Upgrades:
14" 6 pot rear Brakes ($5k rear kit)
Revo controller module to change power settings.
Devils Own Water injection (free octane)
Custom cooling system upgrade with logic computer for 3 add'l fans (5 fans total)
All driveline fluids are clean and fresh, and kept that way.
Suspension KW V3 Coil over kit (top of the line double adjustable shocks)
Hotchkiss sway bars (greasable zerks)
All new front Suspension and steering components, under 5K miles.
034 Upper CNC'd control arms
Optional Summer wheels/tires (19x9.5" 23lbs forged, 200AA Tires) with Nitto NT05's 275/30-19. Amazing tire.
18" OE Wheels with All-Season Kumho tires (255/40-18). Better than Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3's (had them)
Newer AGM battery (German made) with trickle charger.
Corner balanced and aligned at a Porsche/ Ferrari repair and race shop.
OWNERSHIP HISTORY;
ME: Middle aged Owned since 2012, clean clear Title in my name.
Meticulously care for, thousands spent just on detailing last 5 years. Including paint correction and ceramic coating.
Always garaged. Home and work. Not left sitting out in the sun. Temperature controlled garage.
Prior owner was a Japanese family man. Meticulously cared for. Serviced at Audi specialists. Serviced at exotic dealerships and popular euro shop in Los Angeles. PO sold it to get his wife a brand new Q7 TDI.
The undercarriage is in exceptional condition - no rust. Never in the rust belt
ONLY a weekend driven car last 10+ years.
Will be formally listing soon, contact for questions and first chance to own.
I am aware of the RS6 market VERY WELL. And have driven at least 10-12 RS6's in the last 15+yrs.
This car is well sorted. It drives amazing. It will save the next owner a lot of money over buying a 15-20K car- especially if lower mileage (when major work is ALWAYS needed).
Basic maintenance to get a dealer used or unwary owner car up to basic reliability is 5-10K. Then another 5-10K on suspension. Then 3-5K on decent wheels/tires. Another 3K on stock brakes. It’s all been done and much more.
Amazing car at only $25k!
MSRP was $95,000+ that’s $150k today!
This is a gem of a machine. It arguably offers the last true classic German driving experience. You can feel it no matter the speed. The build quality demonstrates this is a Halo car that cut no corners… other than apex’s in the twistiest!
I'm selling because life circumstances have changed and no longer have time to enjoy the car as it should be. I have too many cars. It needs to be driven more and enjoyed.
This car will go to a good home only. European car or high end owners preferred. Have space in your garage please.
I had the luxury of it being garaged at home and work - it rarely was in the sun. The interior and paint shows the benefits.
Would love to pass this along to another caring car enthusiast. I suspect the market will uptick in the coming years, adding investment value like so many other cars have. I will sorely miss this one but have enjoyed many memories to bank on.
